Rectal cancer risk: Data about oranges was provided by 5 cohorts (6, 9, 24, 25). No associations were found. Data about mandarins was provided by 1 cohort (9). No association was found.
Colorectal cancer risk: Data from an article about 1 cohort was not stratified by cancer site (though information about colon cancer was used by the pooled analysis). No association was found (23).

Conclusion: No evidence was found for an association between oranges or mandarins and colon or rectal cancer risk.
