Lung cancer risk: Data about lung cancer risk was provided by 3 cohorts. A nonsignificantly increased risk of cooked beetroot was found in one cohort (11),
but no associations with beets were found in the remaining cohorts (14).
Lung cancer mortality: No data was found.
Conclusion: No evidence was found for an association between beet(root) and lung cancer.
