Lung cancer risk: Data about lung cancer risk was provided by 2 cohorts. A protective effect was found of winter squash, but no association was found with eggplant/summer squash.
Lung cancer mortality: No data was found.

Conclusion: A protective effect was found of winter squash against lung cancer risk, but the 95% CI did not exclude the 1-value, and no p-value was provided. Inconclusive evidence was found for an association between winter squash and lung cancer risk.
