"Other" dairy items and all-cause mortality or survival.
Data about consumption of "other dairy items" in relation to all-cause mortality was provided by 3 cohorts. High porridge consumption increased survival
rates among men, but not women in one cohort (2). No associations were found between milk puddings (21), or custard (22) and all-cause mortality in the remaining
cohorts.
Conclusion: A protective effect of porridge consumption was found in one cohort of very small size. No evidence was found for any asociation.
